The Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County is a public policy body appointed by the County Board of Supervisors to oversee the strategic planning and policy development of the County’s workforce development system. The Board also has responsibility to oversee the provision of workforce services through its four One-Stop Business and Career Centers. The Board’s broad alliance, representing businesses, labor, economic development, public agency, education, and community-based organizations, shapes the quality of Contra Costa County’s current and emerging workforce.

It also assists businesses, employees and those aspiring to enter or re-enter the workplace to thrive in today’s new and dynamic economy. The Board helps individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency by working closely with organizations to help those who have not had an opportunity to fully participate in the workplace. You can get involved in the Workforce Development Board by calling its offices at (925) 646-5239 or get more information from their website at: http://www.wdbccc.com.
