Contra Costa County Service Integration Program

What is Service Integration?

Contra Costa County’s Service Integration Teams (SITeams) bring together workers with a wide range of different specialties on a daily basis to provide the best possible services to the communities of Bay Point, North Richmond and “Old Town” San Pablo.

For over six years, SITeam staff from the County Departments of Employment & Human Services, Health Services, Probation, community-based organizations, and, in Bay Point, a school district, have been working at putting together their knowledge and skills to serve families as a team. Located at Family Service Centers in Bay Point and North Richmond, the SITeams strive to:

Increase the economic self-sufficiency of families

Improve family functioning

Expand community capacity to support children and families

Each SITeam also includes a neighborhood employment project, Bay Point Works (BPW) and the North Richmond Employment Collaborative (NREC), staffed completely by neighborhood residents. These two projects offer a wide range of employment-focused services including, the job fairs, the Bay Point Community Career Center, a youth media training academy, summer programs for young teens, family day care start up support, and more

What is Service Integration mean to a family served at one of the Family Service Centers?

A local “one-stop shop” where they can receive services including: employment counseling, CalWORKs/Food Stamps/MediCal benefits, substance abuse and mental health counseling, public health nursing, child welfare and juvenile probation services.

A convenient location right in their own neighborhood.

A more personalized, in-depth set of services tailored to suit the unique needs of each family.

A single case manager who can work with families on all of the issues in their lives—from helping kids do better in school to how they can get a jobs—or better jobs—to how they can address the struggles of a family member who is abusing drugs. We connect families with the resources they need to overcome obstacles and improve their lives.

A strong community presence committed to addressing local improvement issues with public agencies, private funders and public officials.
